Short 'bio:'

Shri KV Narayanaswamy was born in Palakkad, Kerala on November 15, 1923 to Kollengode

Viswanatha Iyer and Muthulakshmi Ammal. Throughout his career, Shri Narayanaswamy learned from 

legends and stalwarts including Shri Ariyakudi Ramanuja Iyengar, Shri 'Papa' KS Venkataramaiah, and 

Palghat Mani Iyer.

Narayanaswamy's journey with the Madras Music Academy

First appearance/debut: Dec 26th, 1948  - (he was 25 years old at the time)

He has made 34 total appearances at the Madras Music Academy.

M Chandrasekaran has accompanied him 8 times in violin

Palghat Raghu has accompanied him on 14 occasions out in Mridangam

Started singing in Prime slot from 1965 - evening slot

He recieved the Sangita Kalanidhi in 1986 when he was 63 years old

Of the concerts mentioned below, my favorites would have to be 

the 1963 Academy  (with Shri V Sethuramaiah and Shri Coimbatore N Ramaswamy), 

the 1967 Academy  (with Shri MS Gopalakrishnan and Palghat Raghu),
